Hi Karen,

I love the way ideas leap like flames from one writer to another. From Doreen Orion to my brain and then to yours, and then on to your readers. It's all a great journey. Turning your life into story is a good training ground for story writing of all kinds.

This is just what I needed. Though I LOVE memoir, I am contemplating a few novels based on life experiences. In fact, the idea for one popped into my head at 4:30 this morning and won't let me go back to sleep. The premise of my book really fits what you wrote here. I'm going to really give this some thought - how to make the reader think they know my character, and then by the end realize they didn't know her at all. Thanks once again Jerry!
