I too enjoyed the review. It is a wonderful experience to ponder and see what we can learn from these historical stories. I have just been finishing up on Return to Middle Kingdom. A remarkable story of adventure, political intrigue and family life as a hundred and fifty years of history sweep through China. When I finish, I will definately look up Xujun Eberlein's book.

Thanks, Dani. Will check out Susan's group. Are you going to write a memoir as well?

What a fascinating and excellent interview! I look forward to reading the next installments. All this memoir stuff is so interesting to me because I've become more involved with the Story Circle Network over the past year. That's the group that Susan Wittig Albert started for women some years ago, Xujun. I had no idea memoir was such a hot commodity in publishing, and the truth is, those books offer some of the best reading out there.
