Jerry, your reviews always make me want to dash out and buy the books you write about. Beyond that, your reviews are like a college education in how to read a book, specifically a memoir. Until recently I simply picked them up, flipped through the pages, and let it go at that. I suspected there could be a lot more to it than that, but hadn’t invested the energy in figuring out what it was. You are showing me a whole new way of reading and thinking about memoir. Thanks a bunch!
