"Marly and Me" is a good read and I can't wait to see the movie. I think people should understand that animals should be treated well because they are like us, intelligent and I believe with souls. They feel pain just as we do and the compassionate care of animals is something I feel strongly about and this is why! If a dog could talk, what would he say?
